In a major mistake made by National Testing Agency (NTA), they virtually showed a NEET aspirant 'failed' in the NEET 2020 mark sheet. But when the aspirant, Mridul Rawat on the basis of his recorded response OMR sheet and answer key challenged the result before NTA, he turned out to be the topper in the Scheduled Tribe category.

Rawat hails from Gangapur city town of Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. The 17-year-old aspirant had nightmares when he saw 329 marks out of 720 on October 16, when the result was out. As per Rawat, he was scoring 650 out of 720, based on the recorded answer key.

Rawat was confident about cracking NEET 2020, but the results on October 16, broke him down as he would not get admission into any medical college with those marks. His parents encouraged him to challenge the result sheet based on the recorded answer key. He tweeted to NTA, following which the correction was made.

As the NTA released the corrected result sheet, Rawat was delighted to be the All India Topper in Scheduled Tribe Category. However, even in the corrected result sheet, although the marks tally was showing the correct marks of 650, marks in word column was showing the previous marks. He again approached NTA, and now it corrected fully in the result sheet.

His All India General Category rank is 3577.
