Man Rapes Minor Daughter In Rajasthan's Jalore District; Investigation On

JODHPUR: In what may be described as a shocking incident, a man allegedly raped his minor daughter in Rajasthan's Jalore district. The man's son committed suicide after he came to know about it.

According to reports, the man's son (girl's brother) got to know about the alleged rape after an audio clip surfaced across social media platforms on Saturday in which the girl is purportedly narrating the entire incident to her aunt. The girl, in the audio clip, purportedly tells her aunt that her father had raped her in their car after persuading her to go with him for purchasing a mobile phone for her. It did not, however, became clear by the girl's statement in the audio clip when the incident took place.

She also says in the audio clip that her father had refused to take her brother with them (on the day of alleged rape) after her mother insisted him to take him along. Apart from that day, her father made sexual advances on multiple occasions, especially when she would be asleep. She also claims in the audio clip that her mother had rebuked her when she tried to raise her voice against her father's acts.

The girl's brother, who came to know about the incident after the audio clip surfaced, killed himself by jumping into the Narmada canal in Sanchore area of the district. A probe has been initiated by police based on the 32-minute audio clip. The girl's father is absconding and a manhunt is on to nab him.
