GUWAHATI: Army of men armed with slingshots will keep a close watch as US President Donald Trump visits the Taj Mahal in Agra. According to reports, slingshots have proven to be quite effective to ward off aggressive monkeys who bother visitors, claim reports.
"While this catapult is effective against single or a couple of monkeys when it comes to whole troops of monkeys, the catapult is completely ineffective."

Other measures have also been out in place to ensure that Trump and his wife can visit the venue without any hassles. The US President is expected to visit the venue at 5:15 pm.
By noon, the area will be cleared of visitors and security will be in place.
Just a few days ago, a clean-up drive of the Yamuna around the complex was undertaken to welcome Trump. 500 cusecs of water have been released into the river to get rid of the foul smell. The UP irrigation government believes that this will also improve the oxygen level in the Yamuna in Mathura and in Agra, and remove the foul smell.
A workforce was engaged in cleaning up patches of the Taj Mahal to make it fit for Trump’s visit.
Learning from past experience, especially the visit to the city by the then US President Bill Clinton, who is believed to have called Agra a “ghost city”, as the streets and the main Mall road was sealed and sanitized to present a deserted look, the district authorities have decided to line up students with flags on both sides of the road during the Trump visit.
