Beed: A minor girl has become two months pregnant after she was allegedly raped by 400 people over the last six months in Maharashtra's Beed district.
Reportedly, she was also exploited by a policeman when she tried to register a complain in this regard.
However, a case has been registered under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and rape and molestation sections of the Indian Penal Code.
According to a new agency report, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Beed district has said that three people have been nabbed so far in this case.
According to reports, the the girl lost his mother two years ago and then her father arranged her marriage around eight months ago. Notably, her husband and in-laws used to beat her and ill-treat her.
In her statement which she gave to child welfare committee, she revealed that many people have abused her following which she went to Ambajogai police station to file a complaint but police just proved to be a mere spectator instead of taking action against the culprits.
''Instead, I was harassed by a policeman," she added.
Eventually, police registered a case in this week and presently, the investigation is now underway.
