Murder-Accused Indrani Mukerjea Claims Sheena Bora Is Alive, Asks CBI to Look In Kashmir

NEW DELHI: Former Indian British Executive Indrani Mukerjea the accused in the high profile murder case of her daughter Sheena Bora in the year 2012 now makes a sensational claim about Sheena Bora being alive and living in Kashmir.

A few years ago this murder mystery has shaken the whole country with different twists one after another.

Indrani Mukerjea recently wrote a letter to the director of CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) where she stated that Sheena Bora is actually alive till now. In the letter, she asked CBI to search Sheena Bora in Kashmir based on the information that a woman told her in jail.

Mukerjea shared to CBI that came across a woman inside the jail who claims that she had confronted Sheena in Kashmir. Mukerjea has even sent an application to the special court of the Central Bureau of Investigation on the matter which is scheduled to come up for hearing soon.

Indrani Mukerjea was in Byculla jail of Mumbai since the year 2015 when she was arrested in charge of her daughter's murder case. The Bombay High Court rejected her bail plea last month and now with the help of her lawyer named Sana Khan, Mukerjea will be approaching the Supreme Court.

Indrani Mukerjea had earlier moved from Assam's Guwahati to Mumbai. In her Guwahati home, she had left her two children Sheena and Mikhail along with her parents. She then settled in Mumbai after getting married to a media executive, Peter Mukerjea who was already married once but later parted ways with his first wife. He had a son named Rahul Mukerjea from his first marriage who loved Sheena.

The CBI and Mumbai police informed that once Indrani's daughter Sheena came across a magazine where she saw her mother and then followed her in Mumbai.

The first-born daughter of Indrani, Sheena was reportedly blackmailing her to buy a house in Mumbai. But in the year 2012, Sheena suddenly disappeared and was never seen again. Rahul searched for Sheena everywhere but was told that she had moved to a foreign country.

In 2015 Indrani's driver Shyamvir Rai was found possessing a gun because of which he was arrested by Mumbai police. During his interaction with the police, he disclosed the fact of witnessing a murder where Indrani killed her daughter Sheena who was earlier introduced as her sibling.

It was later informed by investigating agencies that Sheena Bora was murdered and her body was thrown in the Raigad district. The allegations were refused by Indrani though agencies have recovered Sheena's remain from the spot.

Indrani's ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna was also arrested by the police for helping her in the murder and for removing all the evidence that can prove the murder. Peter Mukerjea was also involved in the murder conspiracy who was arrested by CBI and he was released last year.
