Mysuru: Pre-wedding photoshoot turns tragic, couple drowns

Mysuru: A couple drowned in the Cauvery River at Talkad during a pre-wedding photoshoot in Mysuru when their coracle in which they were posing overturned on Monday. Chandru (28years) and Shashikala (20years) were about to get married on November 22. They visited Talkad along with their relative in Mysuru just two weeks before their marriage.

The couple along with their relatives arrived at a resort near Talkad. The couple decided to take a ride on a coracle for around 10-15metres. While the groom stood up for clicking photos, the coracle overturned and the couple drowned as they cannot swim.

Fire and emergency personnel retrieved the bodies on Monday.
