National Investigating Agency Arrest ISIS sympathiser in Delhi

An ISIS sympathizer Sakkel Ahmed was arrested National Investigation Agency ( NIA) on Tuesday and produced before the Court in Delhi. Ahmed 30, of Adirampattinam, Thanjavur is alleged to have helped an ISIS sympathizer procure an Indian passport on forged. The Court gave 7 days remand of Sakkel to NIA for interrogations.

According to sources, Shajahan was arrested on July 01, 2017 at IGI airport, New Delhi on his deportation by the Turkish authorities in connection with his involvement in IS activities. Another accused named Mohammed Mustafa was arrested from Chennai, ten days later. Subsequently, the investigation of the case was taken over by NIA, New Delhi

On the other hand, the accused V.K.Shajhan alias Shajahan Velluva Kandy and Mohammed Mustafa were charge sheeted by NIA in December last year in connection with its probe in the ISSI Sympathisers operating in the country, after he was deported by Turkish Authorities in connection with his involvement with ISIS activities.
