NTA Extends JNUEE Application Deadline To August 31

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the extension of the deadline of application to the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Entrance Exam to August 31, 2021. 

The application procedure for the said exam will conclude at 5:00 pm on August 31 while the examination fee can be paid before 11:50 pm. In addition, the correction window for the examination will open on September 1 and close on September 3.

Earlier, NTA had announced that the last date of application to JNUEE was August 27. The extension of the final date of application will bring relief to many who had missed the chance to apply. 

Official notification of the NTA says, "Pursuant to representations from candidates to extend the last date for submission of online forms and to ensure larger participation of candidates in the exams, it has been decided to extend the last date for submission of online application for JNUEE-2021 up to 31.08.2021."

NTA also added, "Candidates are advised to be in touch with the NTA website(s) www.nta.ac.in, https://jnuexams.nta.ac.in for any update in this regard. For any clarification, candidates can get in touch with the NTA Help Desk at 011-40759000 or write to NTA at jnu@nta.ac.in."

For the exception of the PhD programme, the candidate's performance in the computer-based test (CBT) determines his/her result in the final selection list.

The candidates applying to the PhD programme will be called for a viva voce after qualifying for the CBT test. The final merit list will be prepared with 70 per cent weightage to the CBT score and 30 per cent weightage to the viva round.
