Jaisalmer: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been celebrating the festival of lights with security personnel for the last seven years. During an interaction with the jawans at Jailsalmer's Longewala Post, Rajasthan, PM Modi said no force in this world can stop the Indian soldier's from protecting their own country.

Taking a veiled dig at China, PM Modi raised his concerns against expansionism and asserted that India is becoming a strong voice against this thinking of expansionism. Modi called expansionism a mental disorder and it reflects 18th-century thinking. "India trusts the policy of understanding others, making them understand, but will reply strongly if it is tested. As long as you are there, this country's Diwali celebrations will continue in full swing and luminescence," he said to the jawans.

Extending his heartfelt greetings to the jawans, Modi said that the auspicious occasion of Diwali is incomplete without them. While addressing the jawans, Modi said that he brought greetings of every Indian to the jawans. "My happiness doubles when I look at the joy on your faces," he added.

PM Modi also gave credit to the jawans for India being able to clearly present its opinions on international fora today. Talking about India's defence capabilities, PM Modi said that the country is working rapidly to increase its defence capabilities and make its defence sector atmanirbhar (self-reliant).

PM has also asked the troops to innovate, do yoga and learn an Indian language they don't already know from their colleagues. Earlier in the day, PM Modi has greeted the entire nation on the occasion of Diwali.
