New Delhi: According to political strategist Prashant Kishore, the ruling party BJP will be at the centre of power in India for many decades.

He also criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for underestimating BJP's position in the country and thinking that people will easily vote them out of power.

This statement has been revealed from a video clip of a private meeting addressed by Kishor in Goa. The political strategist is presently in Goa to lobby for the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for the upcoming Goa Assembly elections.

In the video clip, Kishor says, "The BJP is going to be the centre of Indian polity...whether they win, whether they lose, like it was for the first 40 years for the Congress, the BJP is going nowhere."

He added, "Once you secure 30 per cent-plus votes at the India-level, you are not going away in a hurry. So, do not ever get into this trap that people are getting angry and they will throw away (PM Narendra) Modi...Maybe, they will throw away Modi, but the BJP is not going anywhere. They are going to be here, you have to fight it out for the next many decades. It's not going in a hurry."

Criticizing Rahul Gandhi, he says, "That is where the problem lies with Rahul Gandhi. Probably, he thinks it's just a matter of time that people will throw him (Modi) away. That's not happening."

Kishor has managed to build up a fine reputation for himself as a political strategist after crafting out election strategies for TMC and DMK and leading them to victory in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, respectively.
