Porn Scam Row: Sherlyn Chopra Summoned by Mumbai Crime Branch, Accuses Raj Kundra of 'Sexual Assault'

Raj Kundra, the prime accused is at present in a 14-day judicial custody. Sherlyn Chopra, who is fearing arrest has already applied to the Mumbai Sessions Court for an anticipatory bail in the porn racket case.

As per sources within the Mumbai Crime Branch, Chopra has claimed that she was the first one to share information regarding the case. In March 2021, Sherlyn informed the Cyber Cell of the Mumbai Police about Raj Kundra's company Armsprime, which she claims was an influential evidence that led to his arrest. Hearing her plea, the Mumbai Sessions Court has granted Chopra an anticipatory bail on Tuesday.

According to media reports, Sherlyn in April 2021 had made a complaint against Kundra regarding a sexual assault in which she claims she was the victim.

According to the FIR filed against Kundra, Chopra alleged that in early 2019, Raj Kundra had called her business manager for a business proposal. Divulging into the facts, she told the police that Kundra had come up with the proposal of creating "The Sherlyn Chopra App".

Kundra allegedly tried to convince Chopra saying that her exclusive adult content that is uploaded on social media was free and all could access without paying charges. The app would however help chopra to monetise it via this customised app.

The actress further alleged that few days after the meeting, on March 27, 2019, Kundra showed up "unannounced" at her place, and the both had a heated argument over a text msg exchanged between them. She claimed that after that episode, Raj allegedly took undue advantage of her and tried to molest her by "kissing" her even though she "resisted".

According to the FIR report by Sherlyn, Raj Kundra allegedly told her about his dwindling relationship with his wife, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and that it was "complicated" and he was "stressed most of the time." Sherlyn allegedly told raj to stop and resisted him saying she was "scared". She eventually managed to push him and rushed into the washroom, the complaint stated.

It may be mentioned that, the Mumbai Sessions court rejected the bail plea of the main accused, Raj Kundra in the porn racket case in which he has been accused of creating and publishing pornographic content through some apps.

In the meantime, the court had remanded Kundra in a 14-day judicial custody on Tuesday. Furthermore, the police informed that the Mumbai Sessions Court is yet to ascertain the innocence of Shilpa Shetty in this case, so that a clean chit can be given to her regarding the case.
