As President of India Ram Nath Kovind turns 75 today, many leaders took to their Twitter handle to extend greetings on his birthday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished the President on his birthday saying ''His rich insights and wise understanding of policy matters are great assets for our nation. He is extremely compassionate towards serving the vulnerable.''

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu also conveyed his greetings to President Kovind saying, ''He is known for his simplicity, warmth, vision, exemplary leadership and concern for the poor''

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his wishes on President's birthday saying that President Kovind has motivated all by his dedication for the welfare and empowerment of poor and unprivileged sections of the society.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also took to his Twitter to convey his heartfelt wishes on Kovind's birthday.

Assam Health and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wished Kovind saying, ''your simplicity is a constant inspiration for us..''

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma also wished and prayed for his good health and happiness.

Arunachal Chief Minsiter Pema Khandu also extended his wishes to President Kovind saying, Heartiest greetings and congratulations to the Honorable President of India, Honorable President Ramnath Kovind Ji on his birthday. I wish Lord Buddha good health and longevity.''

Born in Paraunkh village in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur on October 1, 1945, Ram Nath Kovind is now the 14th President of India since July 25, 2017 succeeding Pranab Mukherjee.
