The survivor girl who is at present 11 years old is from Bihar and currently resides in Pune along with her family members.

The crime police inspector from Pune, Ashwini Satpute said that the incident came to be known after the victim girl opened up about the incident at the time of a session in school i.e. 'good touch and bad touch' session.

The inspector further said that ordeal of the survivor girl was going on for the past 5 years. In 2017, the accused father started the sexual assault on his daughter when they were in Bihar before moving to Pune.
