Relief for home-confined masses: DD Bharati will telecast Mahabharata everyday twice

New Delhi : Asserting a major relief for the home-confined people of the country India’s national broadcaster Doordarshan Bharati will telecast once hugely popular epic serial Mahabharata every day at 12pm and 7pm from Saturday, March 28. Announcing this Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday said, “DD Bharati will relay from tomorrow Saturday, 28th March, the popular serial ‘Mahabharat’ at 12 noon and 7 pm every day,” The 21-day-long national lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a bid to check the novel coronavirus pandemic has compelled crores of people confined themselves in homes. Till the PM’s announcement, they passed time with busy day-to-day schedule. Majority of them could not find way to pass their time and it has bored them. Realising the difficulty faced by the citizens the Union Broadcasting Minister directed the DD Bharti to telecast the evergreen epic serial.
