Ruling Parties Assembly By-Polls Victors in Tamil Nadu

Chennai/Puducherry: The ruling parties in Tamil Nadu - AIADMK - and Puducherry - Congress - emerged victors in the Assembly by-polls held on October 21. A total of 35 candidates were in the fray in the two seats. This victory is a forerunner for the next Assembly elections for the ruling combine, CM said. The poll reversal is a setback for the DMK and Congress as they lost the seats held by them. (IANS)
