SRIHARIKOTA: The date of November 18, 2022, will be marked as a very important occasion in terms of space exploration for India. The first privately developed rocket of the country achieved a successful liftoff at 11.30 AM on Friday

Code-named Mission Prarambh was given to the maiden launch project. Managed by the Indian Space Research Organisation, this project was powered by the new Vikram-S rocket propulsion system developed by Skyroot Aerospace. Mission Prarambh successfully lifted off from the ISRO spaceport in Sriharikota. The launch system had three payloads onboard. They were created by Andhra Pradesh-based N Space Tech India, Chennai-based startup Space Kids and Armenian BazoomQ Space Research Lab.

Vikram-S is the name of the first rocket engine indigenously built in India by the private sector to successfully launch satellites. It is one of the three versions of the Vikram engine created by Skyroot Aerospace. The company is based out of Hyderabad in Telangana of India.

The startup had the full support of the Indian Space Research Organisation and the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre in terms of this project.

This success marks the start of a new chapter in the space sector of the entire world. The Indian Space Research Organisation managed to make the news with several economic space projects. Now it is time for the organisation to guide the private sector of the country to take the space industry of the country even further.

The company also announced the successful launch of Mission Prarambh over tweeter. They thanked everyone for making the first private rocket launch in India a success. They also mentioned that the launch vehicle reached the stipulated height of 89.5 km following the launch while adding a link to the video of the launch.
