Sheena Bora Spotted In Guwahati Airport, Claims Indrani Mukherjee

MUMBAI :In a bizarre turn of events in the high- profile murder case, murder accused Indranji Mukherjee alleged that her daughter Sheena Bora was seen at the Guwahati Airport. 

Indrani Mukherjee moved and appealed to the CBI, asking the investigation agency to extract the CCTV footage and passenger detailed list of Guwahati airport for the date 5th of January, Thursday. Mukherjee claims that her lawyer saw a lady with extreme resemblance to her daughter Sheena. 

Furthermore, she prepared an affidavit and submitted it in the CBI court. A sequential narration of events was updated by the lawyer, which mentions about a video that captured the woman resembling Sheena Bora.

As per the affidavit submitted, the episode took place at around 5:30am to 6am. However, the court advised the CBI to revert back on the matter on 12th of January, 2023.

Indrani Mukherjee also came in contact with the airport authorities and CISF, and urged them to provide her with the CCTV footage of the mentioned date. Back in December 2021, Indrani Mukherjee appealed for a CBI investigation as she claimed to have spotted Sheena in Kashmir.

Nonetheless, CBI referred to her statement as mere imagination. Indrani Mukherjee has been recently released from the Byculla Women's Prison in Mumbai. She was under the custody for six and a half years for connection with the murder of Sheena Bora.

Mukherjee was arrested by Mumbai police on 25th August, 2015. Four days prior to her arrest, police nabbed the driver of Indrani, who confessed that he helped in the murder of his former employer's daughter.

A pistol was also recovered from the driver's possession, which he claimed was given to him by Indrani Mukherjee. This particular murder case has been dragging for a long time due to its own complexities.
