NEW DELHI: Keeping in mind a bright future for students studying in government schools in Delhi, the chief minister of the state Arvind Kejriwal on Friday has announced that Bollywood actor Sonu Sood will be the brand ambassador of 'Desh Ka Mentor' a programme of Aam Aadmi Party's government.

While addressing a press conference the chief minister said, "Some of the students in government schools come from very poor backgrounds and there are very few people to guide them. We are appealing to educated people to become mentors for these children. Sonu Sood will be our brand ambassador for the programme."

Both Sonu and chief minister Kejriwal held the press conference together and have said that 'no discussion about politics' were held.

Earlier today the actor Sonu Sood held a meeting in the residence of the chief minister.

The chief minister Kejriwal aslo wrote in his twitter, "We all have seen the service of humanity of @SonuSood and appreciated his contribution. Now Sonu ji will be the brand ambassador of 'Desh Ke Mentor' program for children in government schools of Delhi. Sonu ji's association with this program will definitely helpful in the bright future of the children".

Earlier the Bollywood actor has joined Special Olympics Bharat as its brand ambassador. At a virtual event attended by over 500 athletes, coaches, families, officials, and volunteers, Sonu interacted with the Special Athletes responding to their queries while admiring and appreciating their sporting achievements. The inaugural session introduced him to the #WalkForInclusion, an initiative of the Special Olympics Asia Pacific Region, demonstrated by the athletes, marking his entry into the Inclusion Revolution of the Special Olympics movement.
