Guwahati: In the latest development in the Sushant Singh Rajput's death probe, the actor's father has filed an FIR against the deceased's rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and 6 others, including her family members.
The FIR was filed in the Rajiv Nagar Police station in Patna, Bihar. The FIR has been lodged against the actor's girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty under Sections 340, 342, 380, 406, 420, 306 of the IPC. The 7 have been booked for 'abetment to suicide, cheating, and conspiracy'.
According to reports, Sushant's father in his FIR accused Rhea of conspiracy, taking money from him, and abetting Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide.
It may be recalled that Rhea Chakraborty was questioned by the Mumbai Police almost 20 days back for nearly 11 hours in the case. During the interrogation, she had admitted to moving out of the couple's shared apartment days before the 'Kai Po Che' star tragically ended his life.
Rhea Chakraborty in a lengthy post on the picture-sharing app Instagram, had called for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe into Sushant Singh Rajput's death. She also tagged Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the post.
Rhea Chakraborty, who was reportedly in a relationship with Rajput, broke her silence on social media to say she was was "still struggling" with dealing with the tragedy.
Sushant Singh Rajput's family finally approached the Bihar Police on Monday for carrying out an investigation. The Bihar Police subsequently sent a 4-member team to Mumbai to probe further into the actor's suspected suicide.
According to sources, Sushant's family is not happy with the Mumbai Police's handling of the case and has also not ruled out a "conspiracy" angle.
The actor's family members have also claimed that they do not have any knowledge about the star suffering to depression and are unhappy about the "mental health" narrative that is being peddled currently.
