Tea Vendor, Upset Over Hardships Due to COVID, Sends PM Modi Rs 100 to Cut his Beard

Many people have commented on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's lengthy beard. Most of us have become accustomed to seeing our Prime Minister with his long white beard, but there is one individual in particular who does not appear to like the Prime Minister's new pattern of facial hair. 

A tea vendor from Maharashtra's Baramati gave PM Modi a money order for Rs 100 to get his beard removed. 

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the unorganised sector has suffered as a result of the countrywide covid-induced lockdown. The issues have only gotten worse during the catastrophic second wave, which has left many people without a source of income. 

Anil More, the owner of a tiny tea stand, was frustrated by the ongoing challenges and had some advise for the Prime Minister. 

"PM Modi has grown his beard. If he should increase something, it must be employment opportunities for the people of this country. Attempts must be made to accelerate vaccination for the population and there must be efforts to step up the existing medical facilities. The PM must make sure people are rid of their miseries that are caused by the last two lockdowns," he was quoted as saying by The New Indian Express. 

He went on to say that the Prime Minister's position is the highest in the country, and he has the highest regard and appreciation for Narendra Modi. He stated that he is paying Rs 100 from his money to PM Modi in order for him to cut his beard. 

"I am sending Rs 100 for my savings to him so that he shaves his beard. He is the supreme leader and I don't intend to hurt him. But the way in which the problems of the poor are growing by the day due to the pandemic, this is a way to draw his attention," he said. 

Moreover, he asked the Prime Minister in a letter to grant Rs 5 lakh in financial assistance to families of Covid victims and Rs 30000 to houses impacted by the lockdown.
