BHOPAL: On February 24, a truck slammed two buses from behind in the Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh, resulting in at least seven fatalities and a number of injuries.

The event allegedly took place close to Barkhada village and the Mohania tunnel. According to officials, the buses were transporting people who had attended the rally for Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The accident was brought on by a truck tyre blowout. Two buses were parked when a truck approached from behind, blew a tyre, and lost control, crashing into them, according to police officials.

The police have started looking into the situation. Further details on the incident are anticipated.

The Madhya Pradesh chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, visited the scene and conveyed his sadness over the bus disaster. He pledged to give the injured the finest care and, if necessary, to take them outside the city for treatment.

The Chief Minister also tweeted regarding the same, he wrote, ““The accident in Sidhi is heartbreaking. The treatment of the injured is going on in Rewa's hospital. Doctors told that all the injured are out of danger. The best arrangements have been made for the treatment of the injured, yet they will be taken out for treatment if required”.

The CM also declared an ex-gratia payment of Rs 10 lakh for the family members of deceased people, Rs 2 lakh for badly injured people, and Rs 1 lakh for all other injured people.

A truck and a pickup van crashed on Thursday night in the Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara district of Chhattisgarh, resulting in up to 11 fatalities and numerous injuries.

For some family business, the victims from the Sahu family had travelled from Khilora to Arjuni. The family was travelling towards Bhatapara when the accident occurred close to the DPWS school in Khamaria.

The police were notified of the occurrence, and they arrived on the scene and sent the injured people to the hospital.
