NEW DELHI: US President Donald Trump's speech on Monday at Motera stadium in Ahmedabad left Twitter and other social media users in splits for his several mispronunciations. The American leader also won some appreciation over his references to Indian public figures and Bollywood.

From addressing PM Narendra Modi the son of a "cheewala" ("Chaiwala" or tea-seller) to mentioning "The Vestas" (The Vedas) he botched up several more names. A bungled up pronunciation of great Swami Vivekananda as Swami Vivekamandan, he left the crowd in splits and social media users noted several occurrences of Trump-isms.

Some also appreciated Trump for mentioning the "genius" of the Hindi film industry and also recalling two all-time favorite movies, 'Sholay' which he pronounced as "Shojay" and 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' ("DDLJ").

All the words Donald Trump mispronounced and how to say them correctly are:

- Suuchin Tendulkar (Sachin Tendulkar)

- Cheewallah (Chaiwallah)

- Shojay (Sholay)

- The 'Vestas' (The Vedas)

- Swami Vivekamandan (Swami Vivekananda)

-Virat Coolie ( Virat Kohli)

The netizens made the mispronounced words the most viral memes with some hilarious quotes. Even cricket's governing body, the International Cricket Council (ICC) on its Twitter account jokingly asked whether anyone knew if "Sach- Such- Satch- Sutch- Sooch"- or other variations of Sachin Tendulkar's name were correct.

The "Namaste Trump" event was based on the "Howdy Modi" program that was addressed by PM Narendra Modi and President Trump during the PM Modi's trip to Houston last September.

The President of the US arrived in Ahmedabad with his wife Melania Trump and some clerical deputation which also included his daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner who serve as senior advisors to Donald Trump.
