CHENNAI: The police in Chennai arrested two sisters after they allegedly allowed a shopkeeper to rape their minor daughters and record the video of the incident as a payment for the goods the sisters has purchased from the shop.

The shopkeeper raped three friends of the minor daughters of both the sisters and filmed it. The police also arrested the shopkeeper.

According to police, they conducted a raid in the shop of one Perumal (48) on a tip off to seize banned tobacco products which he was selling. During the raid, police seized tobacco items and the mobile phone of the shopkeeper.

During the investigation police was shocked when they found in the phone nearly 50 videos of children being sexually assaulted by a man.

The police, initially, thought that the shopkeeper had downloaded child pornographic content. However, later, they found the man Perumal in the videos following which police detained him.

During preliminary interrogation the shopkeeper Perumal informed police that he had been sexually abusing five minors for around six months.

Later, police came to know that the two sisters aged 30 and 28 were also involved in the crime. Police immediately arrested them.

The police sources also said that among these two sisters, one of them having an affair with the shopkeeper Perumal.

The duo sisters allowed the shopkeepers to sexually assault their minor daughters and shoot videos of the crime as a payment for the goods the sisters has purchased from the shop.

Three friends of the children's who came to play at their house were also raped by the shopkeeper.

"These three children were too young to tell their parents what was happening… It is a shocking case. If the inspector had not checked his mobile phone, the case wouldn't have come to light and the man would have abused more children," the report quoted deputy commissioner Karthikeyan as saying.
