New Delhi: The holy festival Eid-ul-Fitr celebrated by the Muslim community has certainly brought good news for the girls of the community living in India as Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has announced something very cheerful for them. Most of the top-notch union ministers were spotted as Naqvi’s residence today who were there to greet and celebrate Eid at the Minster’s place. The notable names of such ministers include Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman and Ravishankar Prasad.
Nirmala Sitharaman, who became a part of the joy and celebrations at Naqvi’s residence said, "This Eid should be filled with pleasure, enthusiasm and happiness for everybody. I extend my wishes to all the people of the country."
Following this, the Union Minister hosting the Eid party at his home, Naqvi made this announcement that there will be a scholarship of Rs 5 crore to girl students from the minority community over the next five years. He stated: "Today I have given a very big Eidy (Eid present) to the girl students from the minority community. Rs 5 crore scholarship will be given to them over the next five years."
He further added, "India is a bunch of flowers where people of all hues, religion, and ideology co-exist in harmony. I extend my best wishes to everybody on Eid."
This has also been added by the minister that this new announcement by the government is not something done for a vote-for-development purpose. He also said, "This government believes in the development of everybody including those who did not vote for us."
By saying this, Naqvi also meant that there is no specific benefit for the ones who have voted for the BJP party in the recently concluded General Elections, rather this is a scheme and benefit for all belonging to the Muslim Community.
Later, the Union Law Minister Ravishankar Prasad too extended his greetings to the people of the nation.
