UP Farmer Secures Killer's Bail Before Shooting Him to Avenge His Son’s Murder

BAREILLY: 50-year-old farmer Kashi Kashyap, who had his wife and a close relative murder his 14-year-old son, carried out his ‘revenge’ by killing the family members in the Mitauli area of the Kheri district, according to authorities.

Shatrudhan Lala, the avenger's brother, was shot three times in the head on Friday night and died as a result. Police discovered following an early investigation that Lala was murdered by Kashi Kashyap..

Police claim that Kashi's wife killed her own son Jitendra in 2021 with Lala's assistance after the child allegedly saw the two of them in a "compromising position" while the 50-year-old farmer was incarcerated in a different case. After the girl and Lala were detained and imprisoned for the child's murder, Kashi allegedly declared that he would take revenge for his son.

After Kashi was freed from prison in December 2022,  he is believed to have engaged an advocate to help Lala get a bond release. Lala was granted bail during the first week of April, and ever since then, Kashi has been looking for an opportunity to kill him.

Notably, Kashi was a co-accused in a 2020 killing case involving a neighborhood fight in Hyderabad's Kheri area.

His wife and son Jitendra were taken to his daughter's in-law's home before he was sentenced to prison.

Jitendra went missing in 2021. A few days after that, his dead body was discovered close to a riverbed, buried in a little cemetery. Since authorities believed there had been a drowning, no case was initially registered.

Kashi's wife sought the court to file an FIR in October 2021 as a result of later disagreements she had with Lala . When the police looked into the case, they discovered that both of them were responsible for Jitendra's murder, and they were both sentenced to jail.

Furthermore, SP, Naipal Singh added, "Kashi was tracking Lala's movements, and when the latter was on his way home from a farm on Friday evening, he shot him dead. We have booked him for murder at Mitauli thana and multiple teams are looking for him."
