Lucknow: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been appointed as the brand ambassador of the one-district-one-product (ODOP) programme launched by the Uttar Pradesh government.
On Friday, the actress and the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had engaged in a discussion in the Chief Minister's official residence.
The actress reportedly praised the Chief Minister for carrying out various developmental work in the state during the meeting. In the meeting, the Chief Minister also announced that actor Kangana Ranaut will be made the brand ambassador of the ODOP programme.
The one-district-one product (ODOP) programme has been launched by the Uttar Pradesh government for the creation of product-specific traditional industrial hubs in 75 districts across the state.
The news was shared by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh government, Navneet Sehgal, on his official Twitter handle. He tweeted, "Famous Actress Kangana Ranawat met @myogiadityanath Hon'ble Chief Minister UP, who presented her with an @UP_ODOP product. Kangna ji will be our Brand Ambassador for ODOP."
A video of the meeting was also released which shows Kangana Ranaut being invited to visit Ayodhya by the UP CM saying, "Aap Ayodhya aayein, Bhagwan Ram ka darshan karein."
To this, the actress can be heard replying, "Ramchandra ki tarah tapaswee raja ka raaj rahein."
