Guwahati: Amid mounting anticipation, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has finally revealed the names of the candidates who have successfully cleared the Civil Services 2019 exams.
Pradeep Singh has emerged as the topper in the Civil Services Exams 2019. Jatin Kishore and Pratibha Verma have been ranked 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Himanshu Jain has received the fourth rank, while Jaydev C S stood fifth. Visakha Yadav ranked 6th, Ganesh Kumar Baskar stood 7th, Abhishek Saraf stood 8th, Ravi Jain stood 9th, while Sanjita Mohapatra stood 10th.
This list has been released today, in order of merit, for the candidates who cleared the exams. The written part of the Civil Services examination 2019 was held by the UPSC in September of last year and the interviews for the Personality Test were conducted in February-August of this year.
The list of candidates has been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, the Indian Police Service, and the Central Services Group 'A' and Group 'B'.

GENERAL: 304
EWS: 78
OBC: 251
SC: 129
ST: 67
After the declaration of the results, the appointment to the services will be made according to the number of vacancies that are available with "due consideration to the provisions contained in the Rules for the Examination."
This year's UPSC prelims 2020 has been delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Due to the ongoing crisis, the IAS prelims 2020 shall be conducted on October 4, instead of March 31, as was planned earlier.
The results will be declared approximately 50 days after the declaration of the results; according to reports, the IAS mains will be conducted by the UPSC next year and the interview shall be held subsequently.
