AGRA: A small issue regarding the desserts served to the guests coming to a wedding turned into a massive fight in the city of Agra on Wednesday. This fight lead to the death of one and the injury of many other guests who had come for the wedding. The incident is said to have happened in the Etmadpur region of one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country.
Complaints regarding the food provided to guests at a wedding are not anything new for Indians. It is even more aggravated when the complaints are raised by the guests from either side. But this problem escalated to a whole new level in this incident reported from Agra in Uttar Pradesh.
According to reports a man hailing from the Khandoli part of the Etmadpur region of the city was arranging for the marriage party of his two sons when this incident happened. The feast for the wedding was arranged in the Vinayak Bhawan. The event was underway when a scuffle broke out between two groups of guests who were having food.
The reason being the 'rasgulla' not served as a dessert in the feast, the heated discussions soon turned into a full-fledged brawl between the two groups. A report said that the guests of both groups started throwing plates of food at each other. And soon it turned into an exchange of blows, during which one of the guests was stabbed, which led to his death.
Agra Police arrived at the location after some time and sent the deceased for post-mortem.
According to the Superintendent of Police (Rural) Satyajeet Gupta, the deceased man has been identified as Sunny. He was 20 years old. The forensic team from Agra Police visited the spot and took necessary samples and collected a few items as evidence.
The victim's family has already filed a case regarding the matter. And the police mentioned that they are preceding as per the regulations.
