New Delhi: BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri has said he will raise in Parliament the issue of the protesting JNU students’ violence and why no action is being taken against the erring students. He questioned that ‘Tukde Tukde’ gang is active in the university and has the support of leaders like Rahul Gandhi. Bidhuri said that he will talk to the DCP concerned about the alleged attack on the media. JNU students’ agitation is against the fee hike by the university authorities. Demanding a complete rollback of the hostel fee hike, the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) on Monday carried out a march to Parliament, as the winter session begins. As hundreds of students tried to march, barricades were put up by Delhi Police with a massive deployment of personnel around the JNU campus. Section 144 was imposed and prohibitory orders were also put in place. With posters and chanting anti-fee hike slogans, hundreds of students marched on the streets of the national capital. (IANS)
