Woman Police Constable Injured After Man Harasser Attacked Her in Lucknow

According to sources the incident took place at Aliganj area in Lucknow on Sunday. The sources also informed that the man identified as Prabhat Kumar who is a resident of the area has reportedly passed vulgar comments to the woman police constable when she patrolling in the area.

Sources said that the culprit man is a son of an advocate.

As soon as the man passed the comment, the woman constable confronted him. The man immediately attacked the constable with an iron rod.

Soon after the incident, the constable was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police sources informed that the person who attacked the constable was booked for attempted murder, eve-teasing, and grievously hurting a public servant.

They also informed them that police has arrested him and started interrogation.

Earlier in Assam, two dacoits have been shot dead in Goalpara by the Assam Police in a car chase after the dacoits tried to escape from police custody. This information was shared by Goalpara police on their official Twitter handle. The two dacoits have been identified as Rafajuddin and Basat Ali. Both of them succumbed to bullet shot injury.

The incident took place at Karbala in Godindopur during a retaliatory firing by the Assam Police. The police managed to arrest one dacoit, identified as Rashidul Islam, who has also suffered bullet injuries. He is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. However, one of the dacoits had managed to escape from the scene and is now on the run. The dacoits have multiple cases of dacoity filed against them.
