19-Year-Old Girl Shot At By Jilted Lover in Gurugram

NEW DELHI: A 19-year-old girl received injuries after she was shot at by a jilted lover in the IMT Manesar area of Gurugram. The victim is a resident of Ghaziabad.

As per reports, the accused has been identified as Abhay Sharma, a resident of Ghaziabad.

According to the police, the incident took place at 9 am when the girl was on her way to work.

"He came on a bike and allegedly forcibly stopped the girl to talk to her. When she resisted, he pulled out a gun and shot at her," the police said.

The accused abandoned his vehicle on the crime scene and fled on the bike of a bystander, the police added.

Initial investigation suggests that it could be a case of a love affair as the two belong to Uttar Pradesh and were classmates. They were working in the same company, the police said. The condition of the girl is said to be out of danger.
