NEW DELHI: The 83rd Annual General Meeting of the Indian Newspaper Society - an apex body of Publishers of Newspapers, Magazines & Periodicals in the country, was held through Video Conference ("VC")/ Other Audio-Visual Means ("OAVM") on Friday. K Raja Prasad Reddy (Sakshi) has been elected president of The Indian Newspaper Society for the year 2022-23. He succeeded Mohit Jain of Economic Times.
Rakesh Sharma (Aaj Samaj) is the Deputy President, MV Shreyams Kumar (Mathrubhumi Arogya Masika) is the vice president and Tanmay Maheshwari (Amar Ujala) is the Honorary Treasurer of the Society for the year 2022-23. Mary Paul is the Secretary General of the Society.
The other members of the Executive Committee of the INS are Rahul Rajkhewa (The Sentinel), S Balasubramaniam Adityan (Daily Thanthi), Girish Agarwal (Dainik Bhaskar, Bhopal), Samudra Bhattacharya (Hindustan Times, Patna), Atideb Sarkar (The Telegraph), Ravindra Kumar (The Statesman) and others, stated a press release.
