A day after joining the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), former Congress Jharkhand chief Ajoy Kumar was Friday appointed its national spokesperson. Welcoming Kumar on board, AAP’s chief spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj said: “The Aam Aadmi Party has appointed Ajoy Kumar as its national spokesperson.” Kumar, a former Lok Sabha MP, was inducted into the AAP by senior leader Manish Sisodia on Thursday. Leveling allegations of self-gain against his party colleagues, he had quit the Congress last month - a few months ahead of the coming Jharkhand Assembly polls. Jharkhand will go to polls later in the year as the tenure of the Assembly will end in December. (IANS)
