The National Health Authority (NHA) has introduced QR codes at hospitals in order to scan and share patient details and health records. These QR codes will be displayed at different places including the waiting and registration area so that patients or their attendant could scan them through their smartphones and do the registration process faster and more conveniently.

Because of the superior health care facilities, a lot of people from the states of Northeast prefer to get their treatment in AIIMS Delhi. During the post-Covid treatment of former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, AIIMS-Delhi sent one of their faculties to assist the treatment in Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

They can eventually share their details with health facilities through this account number.

These applications also comes with a scanner and QR code which helps a person share their health information to the Health Management Information System (HMIS). The concerned hospital on basis of the information received, forwards a token number to the patient on their phone. The patient or attendant can print the OPD card from the counter when their token number is displayed on screen.
