Delhi: Several well-wishers and ardent followers of Netaji
Subhash Chandra Bose has begun an online petition seeking the installation of
the statue of Netaji at India Gate on the occasion of his 125th birth
anniversary on January 23, 2021.
A social activist named Devdutta Maji has started this petition addressed to President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister
Narendra Modi and others.
It was posted on a website that is going viral on Twitter.
The petition comes ahead of the 2021 Assembly elections in West Bengal.
Earlier on November 6, BJP leader Chandra Kumar Bose, the grandnephew of freedom fighter, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose appealed to the
Central government to build Netaji's statue near the India gate.
He took to Twitter and wrote," It's time the GOI give proper& befitting tribute to the #LiberatorofIndia & #AzadHindFauj. Build a statue of #Netaji at India Gate, INA Memorial on Rajpath, Delhi, implement #Netaji's ideology to integrate all Bharatiyas, take the #NetajiMystery to its logical conclusion."
