Ayushman Bharat Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) Healthcare is a joint initiative by Home Ministry and the National Health Authority (NHA) aiming to provide paperless and free medical treatment at enrolled hospitals along with access to health services to the CAPF personnel across the country.

The Ayushman Bharat Scheme was launched first on 23 January 2020 in Assam. It is aimed to include officials, personnel serving and their dependents from 7 forces as Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Assam Rifles, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), National Security Guard (NSG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF). The benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Healthcare Scheme will be made available through the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY IT platform.

The beneficiaries of the Ayushman Scheme can collect Ayushman Bharat CAPF online cards from their respective forces. These cards will provide benefits in private hospitals along with government-approved ID, Adhaar card, and a copy of the service ID. The e-cards will also be available to take from Pradhan Mantri Aarogya Mitra stationed at PM-JAY enlisted private hospital using the necessary documents. The entire lists of empanelled hospitals are available on the website of the PM-JAY, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana

AYUSHMAN BHARAT REGISTRATION:

• Go to the website of the PMJAY portal and select for "Am I Eligible"

• Enter mobile number and correct CAPTCHA CODE and then generate OTP

• Select the state you are from

• Search using the name, mobile number, ration card number, or HHD number

• As per results it will be verified if you are covered under PMJAY or not

On 2 November Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah made an announcement that centre has extended the benefits of the Ayushman CAPF healthcare scheme to the soldiers of all CAPFs pan-India in a phased manner. The press release issued by the health ministry added the process of distributing health cards to the CAPFs has started and it will be regularly visible on the website of the home ministry. The scheme is planned to cover all the 3.5 million personnel of CAPF by the end of December.
