Carry Minati's YouTube channel hacked in bitcoin scam

Guwahati: The YouTube channel of popular Indian Youtuber Ajey Nagar, more familiar by his channel name Carry Minati, has apparently been hacked.

Nagar posts gaming videos through his YouTube channel CarryisLive. His fans reported that this channel was hacked. Later, a bitcoin scam was run through the allegedly hacked channel asking people to donate to a particular account. The hack seemed to have happened in the early hours of Saturday. The hacker changed the description for the content of streaming and content related to bitcoin donation appeared on screens. When Nagar came to know about it, he tweeted to YouTube India for assistance.

It needs mention here that two weeks back, the Twitter accounts of Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Barack Obama, and many other celebrities were hacked and used for a similar bitcoin scam. A bitcoin wallet address was provided in their posts, promising the senders to double the amount of BTC in return. Twitter immediately blocked the accounts and took responsibility for the security of its users.

Pinning the responsibility of the security breach on Youtube, Carry Minati's fans took to Twitter to share their concerns with memes. Later the videos of the two live stream disappeared. Meanwhile, Carry's other channel called Carry Minati seems to be untouched.
