New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday searched the bank lockers of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia located at Punjab National Bank in Vasundhra, Sector, 4, Ghaziabad.

On Monday, taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Sisodia said that the investigating agency would come to check his bank locker and they won't find anything in the locker too.

"Tomorrow, the CBI is coming to check our bank locker. They did not find anything during a 14-hour-long raid at my residence on August 19. They won't find anything in the locker too. The CBI is welcome. My family and I will extend full cooperation in the probe," Sisodia tweeted.

Notably, Sisodia is one of the 15th people that have been named in an FIR registered by the central probe agency in connection with alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Delhi excise policy.

CBI has also named Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia as accused No 1 in its FIR lodged in connection with the irregularities in the Delhi government's excise policy.

The CBI on August 19, raided 21 places in seven states across the country in connection with the case, including the Delhi residence of Sisodia.

Earlier the investigative agency had grilled Sisodia after conducting raids at his premises and his aides.

The CBI's FIR has been lodged under sections 120-B (Criminal Conspiracy) and 477-A (Falsification of accounts) of the IPC.

The allegations against Sisodia are that liquor businessmen were allegedly given an exemption of Rs 30 crore. The license holders were allegedly given extensions according to their own will. The policy rules were made by violating excise rules.

Meanwhile, Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court in Assam's Kamrup district summoned Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on September 29 in connection with the defamation case filed against him by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
