Congress tweaks Christmas song lyrics to mock BJP

Guwahati: Amid nation-wide protests over CAA and NRC, and continuous Congress-BJP blame-game, the opposition Congress party took a jibe at the ruling party.

"Jumla bells, jumla bells, jumlas all the way Oh what fun it is to see what an honest govt might say," the Congress party tweeted.

The cartoon mocks BJP bigwigs-Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Cabinet Minister for Textiles and Women & Child Development Smriti Irani.

The tweet mocks Smriti Irani over her credentials.

The tweet takes a jibe at the current political situation along with the slowdown of the economy.

India’s economic growth has hit an all-time low. The economy has slumped to a six-year low of 4.5% in the July-September quarter and many experts now expect full FY20 growth at below 5%.

The Prime Minister had earlier expressed his wish to make India a 5 trillion dollar economy by 2024-25.
