COVID-19: EPFO appeals Beneficiaries to go Online

Delhi : In the wake of the outbreak of the dreaded coronavirus, the Employees Provident Fund Organization has appealed to all its beneficiaries to go online for the monetary transaction instead of visiting its branch offices. It has opened an online facility for the beneficiaries to collect their money. To avail the facility an EPFO beneficiary can log on www.epfiindia.gov.in. The facility is also made available in UMANG mobile application which can be used in smartphones. Announcing it the Union Labour and Employment Ministry said, “In view of Government of India guidelines to contain the spreading of the COVID-19, the EPFO has advised its members, pensioners, employees to avail various online services provided by the EPFO instead of visiting its offices.” Various private sector employees and retired employees have accounts under the EPFO.
