Mumbai: Sachin Tendulkar, revered by many as the greatest cricketer of all time, finally got discharged from the hospital after winning his battle against Covid 19 on April 8. 

The Bharat Ratna winning athlete had tested positive on the 27th of March after the Road Safety World Series in Raipur concluded, where he was the captain of India Legends. This pleasant news of Master Blaster's recovery has brought relief to the hearts of millions of his fans in India and beyond. Read more

He was hospitalized for six days 'as a matter of abundant precaution." He will have to remain at home for quarantine for a few days. 

Other members of the India Legends squad like Yusuf Pathan, Subramaniam Badrinath, and Irfan Pathan had also tested Covid 19 positive. Read more

Sachin Tendulkar, in his tweet, confirmed that he had been released from HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai where he was admitted for almost a week. He showed gratitude to his fans and well-wishers and also acknowledged the effort of the health care workers for their relentless effort in the battle against this deadly disease. 

Master Blaster was the first player from the Road Safety World Series to test positive for Covid 19. After him, the host of other players too contracted the deadly virus. There were no cases reported while the tournament was going on. The cases started becoming evident once the tournament had concluded. Under the captaincy of Sachin Tendulkar, his team India Legends won the tournament defeating Sri Lanka legends in the final of the tournament. Read more

While Sachin was hospitalized, he received well wishes from around the corners of the world including the likes of Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akhtar.
