COVID-19 update: Telangana CM suggests extension of lockdown till June 3

Telangana: Telangana Chief Minster K Chandrasekhar Rao has suggested for extension of the ongoing nationwide lockdown atleast by two weeks due to the horrifying rise of novel coronavirus positive cases in the country. The lockdown, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to contain the COVID-pandemic, which claimed lives of more than hundred people in the country so far, ends on April 14, 2020. But due to the rising case of the pandemic, the Chief Minister suggested extension of the lockdown by two weeks till June 3. His office informed media that CM Rao has opined on the issue citing a recent report of an international Health agency. “It will be better if the lockdown would be extended by two weeks after April 15. The BCG has said that the lockdown for India will be good until June 3”, the CM said. However, there is no announcement of the extension of the lockdown so far.
