CUET UG 2022 Results to be Out by 10 PM Today: UGC Chairman

DELHI: As promised earlier the debut edition of CUET UG's result will be declared today around 10 pm on CUET UG's official website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/.

The CUET-UG exam commenced on July 16 and was concluded on August 30 and there were six phases of the entrance test.

A total of 90 universities including 44 Central Universities have participated in this first-of-a-kind UG admission to universities in India. All the universities have received applications to the tune of 58.5 lakh for various programs of studies making this exam one of the biggest in the country.

The aspirants have applied for 54,555 unique combinations of subjects across 90 universities.

According to an NTA official, the scorecards of the CUET UG exam will resemble GRE and SAT which are appeared by students who want to study abroad.

The CUET UG score card will carry a candidate's percentile and absolute (but normalized) marks in each domain subject. There will be no merit, rank, or cut-off marks since there is no centralized admission counseling based on the CUET score.

It is to be noted here that National Testing Agency(NTA) was given the responsibility to conduct the exam.

NTA will use a method called the 'equipercentile method' to calculate the CUET Scores of each individual student.

This system of scoring will help the students to apply for courses abroad later if they want to pursue their higher studies overseas.

The evaluation system of the CUET UG exam is that the students who mark a question correctly will be awarded 5 marks but there will be a penalty of one mark for every wrong answer.

At 6.63 lakh, the centrally-run Delhi University received the highest number of applications through CUET, followed by Banaras Hindu University with 4.34 lakh applications and the University of Allahabad with 2.62 lakh received the third highest number of applications in India.
