NEW DELHI : Union Minister, Anurag Singh Thakur hosted a dinner party on Tuesday to celebrate and honour 100-member youth delegation from the Central Asian countries visiting India. The delegation demonstrated several performances on Bollywood retro songs in the gala evening.

After seeing the performances of representatives, the minister emphasised on the fact that Indian cinema has a great impact on Central Asia. Thakur continued by saying that, even though we all are a part of different corners of the world, we still have a meeting point which unites us. He is of the view that youths are most important collaborators of a country.

Anurag Thakur shared his feeling in front of everyone and expressed how immensely proud he is of the fact that India rules the heart of Central Asia. It is evident by the way the delegates has performed on old Bollywood songs and also played them with instruments. This amplifies a strong bond between India and Central Asia and it will also reflect in the future in areas such as art and culture as well as trade, added Thakur.

The 100-member youth delegation from Central Asia was hosted by the Department of Youth Affairs from 17th November to 23rd November 2022. The representatives visited the Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalya, War Memorial in Delhi, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai Film City and Gateway of India in Mumbai during their visit to India. The delegates also had an interactive session with the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis and Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. They also met external affairs minister, S Jaishankar.

This was one of the most valuable event according to Thakur. The International Youth Exchange Programme having representatives from four Central Asian Countries will only lead to a healthy and long lasting relationship between India and other Central Asian countries. Shri Anurag Singh Thakur hosted the party in New Delhi on Wednesday, 23rd of November 2022.
