New Delhi: Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi was on Sunday admitted to the Ganga Ram Hospital following the COVID related complications.

Party spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said that her condition is stable and she will be in hospital for observations.

Last week Sonia Gandhi had tested positive for COVID-19 infection.

The report of Gandhi testing positive for Covid infection came a day after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned her and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case.

The Congress president was scheduled to appear before the Enforcement Directorate on June 8 but was tested positive for COVID-19 she sought a fresh date from them.

On Friday a fresh summon was issued by the ED to appear before them for questioning on June 23.
