Delhi: Sonia Gandhi Admitted To Sir Ganga Ram Hospital

NEW DELHI: According to sources, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi has been hospitalized at Delhi's Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. According to the report, she was taken to the hospital by her daughter and the general secretary of the grand old party, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. The 76-year-old senior leader of the Congress underwent a regular examination.

Gandhi has a respiratory infection, according to the story, which cited its sources. They claimed that Gandhi has been ill since Tuesday, which is why her son, Congressman Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi, who had just completed a seven-kilometer walk as part of the party's ongoing "Bharat Jodo Yatra," had returned to Delhi. On Tuesday night, the yatra began its leg in Uttar Pradesh.

Siddaramaiah, a leader in the Congress and a former chief minister of Karnataka, expressed regret over Gandhi being hospitalised and wished for her to "recover quickly and in good health."

"Sad to know that senior INC India leader Smt Sonia Gandhi is admitted to the hospital. I wish her a speedy recovery and healthy return," a tweet read by him.

From UP's Mavikalan in the Baghpat district, where the "Bharat Jodo Yatra" had stopped for the night, it set out again at six in the morning.

Rahul was photographed participating in the march this morning after being spotted wearing a white t-shirt throughout the yatra's legs in Delhi and Haryana despite the bitter weather. However, Congress sources told the media that Priyanka is expected to return in the afternoon. Priyanka, on the other hand, did not accompany his brother after the yatra resumed.

Gandhi, who has struggled with health concerns ever since catching Covid-19 last year, recently travelled abroad for a neck exam. She also participated in the "Bharat Jodo Yatra" in Mandya, Karnataka, and was afterward spotted in Delhi with Rahul, Priyanka, and her husband Robert Vadra.

The Gandhi family came together for the first time as a unit during the Delhi leg of the yatra, the Congress party's largest outreach initiative aimed at uniting the nation, according to the grand old party.
