Encounter in Shopian, J & K, two terrorists killed

Srinagar: Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with the security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A police official informed that the security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Kutpora area of Shopian district, following specific information about the presence of terrorists there. The operation, then turned into an encounter after the terrorists fired upon the security forces, who fired back.

During the encounter, two of the terrorists were killed. Their identification and the group they are affiliated to is still unknown.
