“Grand Ram” temple to be built in Ayodhya within a period of four months: Amit Shah

New Delhi: The Union Minister Amit Shah on Monday assured that a "grand" Ram temple will be built in Ayodhya within just a period of four months now.

While addressing a rally in Pakur, Jharkhand, Amit Shah said, "Supreme Court has given its verdict. Now within 4 months, a sky-high temple of Lord Ram will be built in Ayodhya."

As per earlier reports, on November 9, the Supreme Court had cleared the way for a temple to be built at the disputed plot of land in Ayodhya where the Babri Masjid stood before its demolition, and which Hindus consider to be the birthplace of Lord Ram.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court had directed the Union government to set up a trust in 3 months for the construction of the Ram Mandir at the disputed site.

As Amit Shah assured a quick construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, he went on to take a dig at the Congress saying that neither the party can keep the country safe, nor it can respect the emotions of its citizen.

It may be mentioned that Fifteen assembly constituencies in Jharkhand voted on Monday -- in the fourth phase of the Jharkhand Assembly elections.

A total 221 candidates including 23 female are in the fray in this phase whose fate will be decided by around 48 lakh voters.
