Gujarat man kills wife and drives with body on scooter for 10 kms

Rajkot: Shocking scenes were observed in Palitana when a 34 year old man allegedly killed his wife and drove with her body on scooter in broad daylight for 10 kms.

The accused, named Amit Hemnani, was caught by few commuters in Rohisala and handed over to the police. An investigation by the police revealed that Hemnani allegedly strangulated his wife over a domestic quarrel at their house in Sindhi Camp Colony.

NM Chaudhary, an inspector of Palitana town police station stated that Hemnani drove the scooter with his wife's body for almost 10 kms from Sindhi Colony to Rohisala village. "Amit places the body between the steering and footrest of his scooter and drove from his home. Naina's feet were dangling and dragging on the ground. seeing that sight, passersby shouted at Hemnani. However, he sped away. The people then chased him on their vehicles and caught hold of Hemnani", stated Chaudhary.
