You can check your Aadhar card status after getting the acknowledgement slip and can be confirmed via Online or Offline way. You must submit your enrollment number to check the UIDAI Aadhar status. You can either check by enrollment number or without it, with an update request number or without using acknowledgement/enrollment details or with the help of your name or phone number or India Post or via Online Phone number verification.

Aadhar Card Status:

Aadhar status by Enrollment Number Online:

You can check the Aadhar card status on the online portal of UIDAI's official website and no fees are required. Follow the steps:

Step 1: Go to the UIDAI's official website https://resident.uidai.gov.in/

Step 2: Check for Aadhaar Enrollment Section under the Aadhaar Online Services, click on the 'Check Aadhaar Status' option.

Step 3: Enter the enrollment ID, date, and time of enrollment, secure cloud, and follow this by clicking on the check status account.

Step 4: If your Aadhar is generated, then you will be receiving a message about the same and options to download the e-Aadhar online or the message will be received on your registered mobile number.

Step 5: If you want to download e-Aadhaar, click on the Download Aadhaar option.

Step 6: If in case, you want to get the Aadhaar on mobile, select the option Get Aadhaar on Mobile.

Without Enrollment Number:

Sometimes if you don't remember the enrollment number or have lost the acknowledgement slip then there is an option of retrieving the enrollment number.

Step 1: Visit the site https://uidai.gov.in/my-aadhaar/get-aadhaar.html to retrieve the enrollment number

Step 2: Select either UID (Aadhar) or EID option and retrieve your Aadhar details

Step 3: Enter your name, mobile number, e-mail, and security code to send an OTP to your registered mobile number

Step 4: Enter the OTP details in the given space provided and click on the verify OTP option

Step 5: After verification, your enrollment number or Aadhaar number will be sent to the e-mail ID and mobile number of the applicant.

Step 6: Use the enrollment number, check the status of Aadhaar.

Check Aadhar Card status by Update Return Number (URN):

You can dial in the inquiry number 1947 to check whether your card is generated. After the procedure is done, then follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the UIDAI's official website page https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/web/guest/check-status

Step 2: Enter the Update Request Number and Aadhaar number

Step 3: Enter the security code and click on the 'Get Status' button

Step 4: You will get the Aadhar card status

Step 5: If your Aadhar is updated, then you can download e-Aadhar and take a print of the same

Check Aadhar Status by Name:

You'll be provided with an acknowledgement slip while applying for an Aadhar card that has the enrollment ID. This ID is used in tracking the Aadhar generation status. If you are applying for updating details in the Aadhar card, you will receive an update request number (URN) after successfully submitting the application. The URN is one way to check Aadhar card status.

Check Aadhar card status by mobile number:

If you want to check the Aadhar card status using your mobile number then check the following instructions:

Step 1: SMS "UID STATUS" and send it to 51969.

Step 2: If Aadhar has been generating, then you will receive an SMS which will show your Aadhar number

Step 3: If the message is not received, then an SMS will be sent to you which will state the current Aadhar card status.
